Caitlin, Lauren, Chris and I went to P.F. Chang’s last night. It was EXCELLENT. We did something that I have never done before: we all got something different and then split the different dishes up between the four of us and all dug in. We had lettuce wraps, sweet and sour chicken, pepper steak and some kind of crispy shrimp- with lots of rice. We said a prayer and blessed the meal. I ate until I was about to bust. Then our waiter came back
“Would ya’ll like some dessert?”
“No thanks.”
“Are ya’ll Christians?”
“What?” I asked, a little surprised at the question.
He asked again and I responded with a definite yes. He said that he noticed us praying and wanted to ask us if we were. Him and his wife (recently married in August) were attending a church in East Nashville. So, we all talked for a few minutes before bidding him farewell. Needless to say, the nice, Christian, young man got a bigger tip.
Morale of the story: You never know who is watching.
